Learning and taking action together for a Healthy Baltic Sea
Nordplus Junior project Our Baltic Sea isn’t just about learning about the environment; it’s about doing something about it. Through our collaborative project work, students are actively offered opportunities to become engaged in learning about innovative solutions to the challenges of the Baltic Sea as well as taking climate action.
From learning about innovative solutions to marine litter to researching the impact of climate change on local ecosystems, our project is a testament to the creativity of young people. The students shouldn’t be just passive observers but active participants in shaping the future of our shared environment in the Baltic Sea region.
This first project newsletter highlights the diverse project activities undertaken by students and the participating schools across the Baltic Sea region. Each project partner plays a unique role in our journey of discovery, collaboration, and action. By sharing this experience together, we aim to inspire other schools, too, to embark on their own environmental adventures.
I’d like to encourage you to explore the project activities featured in this newsletter and to learn from our experiences. Let’s continue to foster a culture of hands-on learning and empower young people to become the environmental stewards of tomorrow. I want to give a big shoutout to all the students, teachers, and partners for their awesome work during the first project months. Teamwork makes the dream work, so let’s keep it up!
